Since the start of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, the Charity foundation “Blue Bird” has managed to organize the first large shipment of humanitarian aid to the affected population of Chernihiv region.

The delivery arrived in Ukraine at the beginning of April 2022, made possible with the help of our new partners, the “Kyiv-Sofia Rotary Club”, “Caritas-Sokal”, and the Ukrainian Center in Salzburg. It included diapers, baby food, hygiene products, clothing, sleeping bags, underwear, food, and medicine for the population of Chernihiv and Chernihiv region affected by the hostilities.

As Elena M., one of the young mothers who received humanitarian aid, noted: “When you receive the most necessary things, you feel not only gratitude but also peace of mind that everything is not so scary, you are not alone, and you have a reliable shoulder even in these difficult times for the country.”

Another resident of the Chernihiv region, who was affected during the invasion of Russian tanks, Sergey O., said that: “The aid from the Blue Bird was the first for me. No one else had managed to come here before them.”

For us, these words are the greatest motivation to continue to help further.
